Patna District Administration Finalizes Elaborate Ram Navami Preparations
The district administration in Patna has completed extensive preparations for the upcoming Ram Navami festival, scheduled to be celebrated on March 27. With a primary focus on crowd management and maintaining law and order, officials have developed a multi-faceted plan to ensure smooth and safe festivities for all devotees.
High-Level Coordination Meeting Held
A crucial meeting of the coordination committee took place on Sunday at the Mahavir temple premises. The session was chaired by District Magistrate Thiyagarajan S M and Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya K Sharma. Representatives from the Shri Mahavir Sthan Nyas Samiti actively participated in the discussions, contributing to the comprehensive planning process.
Strategic Deployment and Security Measures
The administration's plan includes strategic deployment of magistrates and police personnel starting from March 26. This early deployment aims to manage the anticipated influx of devotees and ensure orderly traffic flow throughout the city. Following the meeting, officials conducted thorough inspections at key locations including Patna Junction, GPO roundabout, Veer Kunwar Singh Park, and R-Block to assess the placement of physical barriers and security checkpoints.
Comprehensive Traffic Management Plan
To address potential congestion issues, particularly due to ongoing metro construction work near the temple site, the SP (traffic) will issue a detailed traffic plan. Specific operational directives include the installation of barricades to create separate queues for male and female devotees, ensuring organized entry and exit procedures.
Essential Services and Facilities
The Patna Municipal Corporation will provide round-the-clock cleaning services, water tankers, water ATMs, and mobile toilet facilities to maintain hygiene and convenience. The energy department has committed to deploying a dedicated team to ensure all street lights remain functional throughout the festival period.
Medical Support and Assistance Desks
Medical support will be available at identified points with ambulances and physicians on standby. Additionally, "may I help you" desks will be established to assist visitors with information and support, enhancing the overall festival experience for devotees.
Advanced Surveillance and Monitoring
The administration will utilize an extensive network of CCTV cameras for continuous videography and real-time tracking from a temporary control room. This technological approach will enable effective monitoring of activities and proactive crowd management throughout the festival celebrations.
Temple Arrangements and Vendor Regulations
On Ram Navami day, the temple will facilitate darshan by installing LED screens and operating multiple 'prasad' counters to serve devotees efficiently. To maintain order and safety, vendors will be strictly prohibited at the entry and exit gates of the temple premises.
The comprehensive preparations demonstrate the administration's commitment to ensuring a peaceful, organized, and spiritually fulfilling Ram Navami celebration for all participants in Patna.
