Substantial Financial Support from Overseas Donors
Balwinder Singh Khalsa has made a notable contribution of Rs 1 lakh towards the sewerage work, demonstrating a strong commitment to his native village's progress. Additionally, Avtar Singh has extended support with a donation of Rs 50,000, further bolstering the project's resources. These funds are expected to expedite the construction and implementation phases, ensuring timely completion.
Formal Handover and Inauguration Ceremony
The donated amount was formally handed over by Jasbir Kaur, based in Canada, to retired Principal Jaswinder Singh Bangar. The ceremony took place in the presence of Sarpanch Gurmeet Singh Gogi, who along with Bangar, praised the NRIs' initiative. They emphasized that such contributions are vital for driving sustainable village development and improving the quality of life for residents.
On the same occasion, Jasbir Kaur inaugurated a critical pipeline stretch extending from Jagiro's Kothi to the treatment plant. During the inauguration, she highlighted the eagerness of NRIs from Lakhpur village to support development works. "NRIs belonging to the village are keenly supporting development works and are contributing generously to improve infrastructure in their native place," she stated, underscoring the diaspora's ongoing involvement in local progress.
