Patna Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday highlighted the significant development works implemented in the Maranchi Mahadalit Tola, located in the Phulwarisharif block of Patna district, over recent years. During his address at a Republic Day celebration in the locality, the CM acknowledged fresh local demands and assured residents that these would be addressed promptly.

The CM attended the Republic Day event where community elder Siddheshwar Manjhi unfurled the national flag. Addressing the gathering, Nitish Kumar emphasized the importance of social inclusion, noting that the tradition of celebrating national holidays in Mahadalit localities began in 2011 to foster unity and participation among all sections of society.
Infrastructure and Development Announcements
During his visit, CM Nitish Kumar announced a comprehensive series of infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Maranchi Mahadalit Tola. Key initiatives include:
- Construction of a community building to serve as a hub for social and cultural activities.
- Development of a new road connecting the tola to State Highway-78, improving accessibility and connectivity.
- Funding for boundary walls for the local middle school, health sub-centre, and additional primary health centre to ensure safety and security.
- Renovation of irrigation systems under the Akauna gram panchayat to support agricultural activities and water management.

Expressing strong confidence in Bihar's progress, Kumar stated that he expects the state to emerge as one of the leading states in India within the next five years.
