Returning officer Rajib Bhattacharya confirmed the outcome, stating, "The papers of all three candidates are valid. Their victory will be formally declared only after the last date of withdrawal on March 9." The candidates include BJP leaders Jogen Mohan and Terash Gowala, along with United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) chief Pramod Boro, who submitted their nomination papers on Thursday, the final day for filings.

The opposition parties opted not to field any candidates, primarily due to a lack of sufficient numerical strength in the Assam Legislative Assembly to mount a competitive challenge.
