Naidu Pledges to Elevate Tirupati as India's Top Wedding Hub

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has made a bold commitment to transform the temple city of Tirupati into the country's most sought-after wedding destination. He announced this vision during his recent three-day visit to his native village Naravaripalle for Sankranti celebrations.

Naidu paid heartfelt tributes to his parents at their memorial on Thursday. Speaking to reporters afterward, he emphasized the urgent need to reduce economic inequalities across society.

Comprehensive Development Initiatives

The Chief Minister detailed several key initiatives his government is implementing. He highlighted the P-4 programme, designed to uplift the poor by providing guidance and support for achieving financial growth.

"We will develop Tirupati as a premier wedding destination by beautifying all tanks and water bodies in the city," Naidu declared. "Homestays will receive special encouragement and development support."

He also revealed plans to develop Visakhapatnam and Amaravati as mega cities. The state government aims to complete the land survey by 2027. Pattadar pass books featuring government seals and QR codes will be distributed to landowners.

Health and Infrastructure Expansion

Naidu confirmed the statewide rollout of the Sanjeevani health programme. This initiative proved highly successful during its pilot implementation in Kuppam.

The Chief Minister recalled launching Swarna Naravaripalle last year for integrated regional development. This project specifically targets improving living standards. Pilot activities have already begun in Rangampeta, Kandulavaripalle, and Chinnaramapuram panchayats.

"Our development programmes will ensure safe drinking water reaches every household," Naidu stated. "We are creating proper drainage systems and implementing housing programmes to provide homes for all."

Focus on Sustainable Development

Special attention is being directed toward solar power generation. The Kusum scheme will promote solar pumpsets across the region.

Natural farming receives significant emphasis in the government's agenda. Farmers practicing natural methods will receive geo-tagging and certification support. Marketing facilities for natural farming products will be established in Tirupati.

"Skill development remains our top priority," Naidu emphasized. "We will set up work stations throughout the region, enabling youth to secure work-from-home jobs without leaving their villages."

The Chief Minister's comprehensive plan combines tourism promotion with sustainable development, aiming to create economic opportunities while preserving Tirupati's cultural heritage.
