Temple Trust Collaboration and ODOP Promotion

A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Shri Kashi Vishwanath and Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Trusts. This agreement aims to foster religious tourism and cultural exchange between the two states.

Additionally, UP and MP signed another MoU to promote One District One Product (ODOP) items, enhancing market access for local artisans and manufacturers. To support this initiative, a Unity Mall will be constructed in Ujjain at a cost of ₹284 crore, dedicated to showcasing ODOP products from both states.

Future Prospects and Industrial Engagement

The sammelan's discussions focused on creating a robust framework for mutual growth, with particular attention to:

  • Industrial Collaboration: Strengthening ties between business communities to drive job creation and economic diversification.
  • Infrastructure Development: The Unity Mall project in Ujjain represents a major investment in retail and tourism infrastructure.
  • Cultural Integration: Leveraging shared heritage to boost tourism and preserve traditional crafts through the ODOP program.

This comprehensive approach underscores the commitment of both state governments to harness their collective potential for sustainable development and improved livelihoods.
