MP Kang Reviews Civic Issues in Kharar, Promises Quick Solutions

Sri Anandpur Sahib Member of Parliament Malvinder Singh Kang conducted a comprehensive review of multiple civic issues in Kharar on Tuesday, engaging directly with residents and promising to escalate their concerns to the relevant authorities for early resolution. During a series of visits across the town, the MP focused on addressing long-standing problems that have been affecting the local community.

Addressing Infrastructure and Road Delays

At Sector 124, residents highlighted the persistent delays and poor maintenance of the 200-foot road that connects several colonies to the sector. This critical infrastructure project has been pending for an extended period, causing inconvenience to commuters. Kang assured the residents that he would actively pursue the matter with the concerned departments to expedite the work and ensure timely completion.

Drinking Water Shortages in Sector 125

In Sector 125, the MP inspected the area around Budha Park, where nearly 4,000 residents have been grappling with persistent drinking water shortages. Taking serious note of this essential issue, Kang directed the officials present to ensure an adequate and regular water supply without any further delay, emphasizing the need for immediate action to alleviate the hardships faced by the community.

Engagement with Welfare Initiatives

Later, Kang attended a children's programme at the orphan and destitute school run by the All India Relief Foundation in Sector 125. He interacted with the students, commended the foundation's welfare initiatives, and visited a medical camp organized by the group. Foundation chairman Sidhu and Ruchika Sharma briefed him about their ongoing work, highlighting the organization's efforts in social service and healthcare.

Resolving Minor Civic Issues and Road Conditions

The MP also met with residents of SBP Homes-3 on Nijjar Road, where he instructed officials to resolve minor civic issues promptly. Additionally, he reviewed the deteriorating condition of the Kharar-Landran Road, interacting with residents of Shivalik City and neighbouring colonies near the Dreamland Promoters office. Kang asked officials to take immediate remedial steps and assured residents that improvements would be coordinated with the relevant departments to ease commuting problems and enhance road safety.

Throughout his visits, Kang emphasized his commitment to addressing the civic concerns of Kharar residents, promising continuous follow-up with authorities to ensure effective solutions and better living conditions for the community.
