Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Inaugurates Shri Hanuman Lok Phase 1 in Pandhurna
In a significant development coinciding with Chaitra Navratri, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav unveiled the first phase of the ambitious Shri Hanuman Lok project at the historic Jam Sawli temple in Pandhurna on Thursday. The event marked a major push by the state government to transform key pilgrimage sites into revered spiritual destinations, referred to as 'Dhams'.
Massive Infrastructure Push: Projects Worth Over Rs 362 Crore
During the ceremony, Chief Minister Yadav inaugurated a total of 31 development projects with a combined value of Rs 111.63 crore. Additionally, he performed the bhoomi pujan (ground-breaking ceremony) for 33 more projects valued at Rs 251.18 crore. This brings the total investment announced during the event to over Rs 362 crore, signaling a substantial infrastructure boost for the region.
Key Announcements for Pandhurna District Development
The Chief Minister made several important announcements specifically for Pandhurna district's development. These include the establishment of new offices for the collector, Superintendent of Police (SP), district panchayat, and janpad panchayat. A dedicated women's police station was also announced, along with plans for an indoor-outdoor stadium spread across 10 acres of land.
Other significant announcements included enhanced municipal funds for local governance and the establishment of an Agricultural Development Center in Sausar to support farming communities in the region.
Phase 2 of Shri Hanuman Lok and Healthcare Initiative
Looking ahead, Chief Minister Yadav announced the second phase of development for Shri Hanuman Lok. A key component of this phase will be the construction of a 10-bed hospital specifically designed to serve devotees visiting the pilgrimage site, addressing healthcare needs in the area.
Major Inaugurations and Infrastructure Projects
The inaugurated projects featured several important infrastructure developments:
- A newly constructed bridge over the Kanhan River valued at Rs 30.50 crore
- A 24-kilometer road connecting Mohgaon to Nandanwadi with an investment of Rs 22.68 crore
- Multiple tap-water schemes to improve water access for local communities
- Various municipal development projects in Sausar
- New college classrooms to enhance educational facilities
- Atal Service Centers to improve citizen service delivery
Ground-Breaking Ceremonies for Future Projects
The bhoomi pujan ceremonies covered several upcoming projects that will further transform the district's infrastructure:
- An integrated district office complex with an estimated cost of Rs 69.49 crore
- A new SP office building valued at Rs 21.48 crore
- A railway overbridge project costing Rs 61.38 crore
- AMRUT 2.0 urban development works
- Revenue quarters for government officials
- Modern science laboratories for schools
Focus on Agriculture and Rural Welfare
In line with the state's declaration of 'Farmer Welfare Year', Chief Minister Yadav announced several initiatives to support agricultural communities. These include a commitment to provide daytime power supply specifically for farmers, addressing a long-standing demand. The government also plans to boost animal husbandry, with a target to increase milk production by 20%, and enhance fisheries development.
Additionally, the Chief Minister emphasized the state's commitment to promoting natural farming practices across Madhya Pradesh, aligning with broader national agricultural initiatives.
The comprehensive development package announced during the event represents a holistic approach to regional development, combining spiritual tourism infrastructure with essential civic amenities, agricultural support, and educational enhancements for Pandhurna district and surrounding areas.
