Mandya Minister Takes Strong Stand Against Land Fraud Racket
Mandya district in-charge minister N Cheluvarayaswamy has promised swift and decisive action regarding the illegal seizure of government land through forged documents in Nagamangala taluk. The minister addressed this pressing issue directly in Mandya, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
Massive Investigation Underway with 600 Files Seized
The assistant commissioner has seized approximately 600 files for a thorough investigation into the alleged land-related irregularities. This significant move underscores the scale of the probe. Cheluvarayaswamy revealed that the Lokayukta conducted raids earlier in connection with related irregularities, pointing to the serious nature of the case.
The minister personally gathered information on the matter. He then issued clear instructions to the deputy commissioner, assistant commissioner, and tahsildar. They must initiate immediate and stringent action without delay.
Fraud Racket Involves Officials and Private Individuals
Cheluvarayaswamy pointed out that the land fraud racket involves both government officials and private individuals. This complex network highlights the challenges in tackling such corruption. Following discussions with superintendent of police VB Shobharani after the Lokayukta raids, he directed officials to take comprehensive action against all those involved in creating fake documents.
The minister made it unequivocally clear that all forged documents will be cancelled without any exception. He emphasised that no official, regardless of rank, will receive protection if evidence of wrongdoing emerges. This strong stance aims to ensure accountability and justice in the case.
