Among the prominent individuals who received this prestigious rank are Karwar MLA Satish Krishna Sail, who serves as the chairman of the Karnataka State Marketing Communication & Advertising Ltd. Additionally, Ron MLA GS Patil, the chairman of the Karnataka State Minerals Corporation Ltd, and Madhusudhan R Naik, the chairperson of the Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes, were also honored with the state minister designation.

BJP Initiates Candidate Selection Process for Upcoming GBA Elections

In a parallel political development, the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to commence the identification of candidates for the forthcoming Greater Bengaluru Area (GBA) elections. The party has set an ambitious target of securing victories in all five city corporations under the GBA jurisdiction.

Strategic Meetings and Alliance Discussions Planned

State BJP president BY Vijayendra announced that the party is fully prepared for the electoral battle and will engage in discussions with functionaries of the Janata Dal (Secular) [JD(S)] regarding candidate selection. To streamline the process, separate meetings for each of the five corporations have been scheduled for February 28 and March 1. These sessions aim to gather valuable inputs and feedback from local party workers and grassroots leaders.

Criticism of Congress Government and Campaign Focus

During the announcement, Vijayendra launched a sharp critique of the incumbent Congress government, highlighting persistent civic issues such as potholes and inadequate garbage management in urban areas. He emphasized that the BJP's outreach campaign will prominently focus on exposing the state government's failures and administrative shortcomings.
