Former Minister Harish Rao Launches Scathing Attack on Telangana CM Revanth Reddy

In a fiery address during roadshows in Zaheerabad municipality, former Telangana minister T Harish Rao launched a blistering critique of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's administration, accusing it of multiple governance failures and deteriorating public infrastructure.

Infrastructure and Development Criticisms

Harish Rao pointed to the deteriorating condition of state roads, alleging they are riddled with potholes while suggesting the chief minister's vision appears blurred. He highlighted specific municipal failures, noting that streetlights in alleys remain unreplaced and municipalities have become littered with rubbish under Revanth's oversight of the municipal department.

The former minister claimed development has stagnated in Zaheerabad since Congress came to power, contrasting this with previous achievements under KCR's leadership. "KCR developed the towns, installed butterfly lights, and provided spaces for all communities," Harish remarked, while accusing the current government of halting schemes for the poor.

Allegations of Administrative Failures

Harish Rao made several serious allegations against the Congress government:

  • Failure to manage the Mission Bhagiratha initiative established by KCR
  • No fogging for mosquito control since Revanth took office
  • Rampant fraud in the administration
  • Scams benefiting Congress leaders while poor people's schemes are halted

"Revanth has accomplished nothing for the people — he has no achievements to boast about. That's why he speaks venomously against KCR. His governance is chaotic, not a sign of progress," Harish asserted.

Political Confrontation and Minority Welfare

The former minister addressed the political confrontation between parties, stating he remains undeterred by government notices. "If you give me notices or file cases against me, will it fill the stomachs of the poor? No matter how many notices you issue, I won't be afraid," he declared, vowing to continue pushing for the release of Mahalakshmi funds.

Harish Rao questioned Congress's commitment to minority welfare, highlighting that it took two years of BRS questioning before a ministerial position was given to the Muslim minority through Azharuddin's appointment. He emphasized BRS's secular credentials, stating, "We are people of integrity. In KCR's 10 years of governance, there wasn't a single Hindu-Muslim conflict in the state."

Communal Tensions and Political Alliances

In a significant allegation, Harish Rao claimed that under Revanth Reddy's rule, there have already been 60 communal conflicts in the state. He also criticized the MIM party for its political alignment with BJP in Maharashtra, where they shared positions of mayor and deputy mayor.

"How can we trust them to talk about secularism in Zaheerabad while they are collaborating with the BJP there?" Harish questioned, casting doubt on political opponents' commitment to secular values.

The former minister's comprehensive critique paints a picture of administrative failure, infrastructure neglect, and rising communal tensions under the current Telangana government, while positioning BRS as the party of development and secular governance.
