The victim, identified as Vipin Yadav, a resident of Agra who had been posted as a forest ranger in Karhal since 2023, was traveling in a Honda City vehicle with two other department members on Friday evening. According to Barnahal station house officer Aniruddh Pratap Singh, the team was en route back from duty after taking decisive action against illegal activities and unauthorized tree-cutting operations in the area.
Preliminary investigation reports indicate that the car crashed into a neem tree near Ikhara village, causing the windshield to shatter violently. Yadav was reportedly thrown approximately 20 feet from the vehicle upon impact and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Local villagers quickly rushed to the accident site and promptly alerted the police authorities.

Regional forest officer Shoaib Ansari provided further details, stating, "Of the two others accompanying him, one was injured while the other emerged safe from the collision."
