Former Karnataka Chief Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) leader H D Kumaraswamy has dismissed reports of a potential alliance between the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in Tamil Nadu as mere speculation. Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Kumaraswamy emphasized that such conjectures are baseless and lack any concrete evidence.
Speculation Without Substance
Kumaraswamy stated, "There is no truth to the rumors of a DMK-AIADMK alliance. These are just speculative reports that have no foundation in reality." He urged political observers and media outlets to refrain from spreading unverified information that could create unnecessary confusion among the public and political circles.
The JD(S) leader further stressed the importance of focusing on the stability of the coalition government in Karnataka, where his party is a key partner. "Our priority is to ensure the smooth functioning of the government in Karnataka and address the concerns of the people," he added.

The speculation about a DMK-AIADMK alliance comes amidst a shifting political landscape in Tamil Nadu. Both parties have been traditional rivals, with the DMK currently in power under Chief Minister M K Stalin. The AIADMK, led by Edappadi K Palaniswami, is the principal opposition party.
