Congress MP Accuses BRS Government of Using 'Dark' Orders to Conceal Land Irregularities
Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy made serious allegations on Wednesday, claiming that IAS officers were intimidated during the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government's tenure to issue what he termed as 'dark' government orders (GOs). According to Reddy, these orders were deliberately kept off official government portals to hide land allotments and other irregularities from public view.
Allegations of Systematic Concealment
Addressing a media conference in Hyderabad, Kiran Kumar Reddy asserted that the BRS administration systematically suppressed transparency by preventing these government orders from being uploaded to official platforms. "This was a calculated move to keep questionable land transactions and administrative decisions hidden from public scrutiny," he stated, emphasizing that such practices undermine democratic accountability.
Political Counterattack Against BRS and BJP
The Congress MP didn't stop at allegations about government orders. He launched a broader political offensive, challenging BRS leader T Harish Rao and BJP's Bandi Sanjay to first explain their own parties' unfulfilled promises before questioning the Congress government's implementation of its six guarantees.
"The BRS came to power in 2014 with numerous promises but failed to implement even 30% of them," Reddy claimed. He further criticized the BJP, saying, "They promised 2 crore jobs annually, bringing back black money, and depositing 15 lakh rupees into poor people's bank accounts, yet none of these commitments have materialized."
Allegation of Secret Understanding Between Parties
In perhaps his most explosive claim, Kiran Kumar Reddy suggested there exists a covert alliance between the BJP and BRS in Telangana. "In reality, the BJP and BRS are working together as part of a secret understanding in our state," he alleged, though he provided no specific evidence to support this assertion.
The allegations come at a sensitive political moment in Telangana, where the Congress government faces scrutiny over its own policy implementations while opposition parties question its governance record. Reddy's claims about 'dark' government orders represent a significant escalation in political rhetoric, potentially setting the stage for further investigations or political confrontations regarding transparency in government operations.
