The Chief Minister was speaking after unveiling a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In his speech, Sai emphasized that the development witnessed in Chhattisgarh is a direct result of the guidance and support from the Union government under PM Modi. He positioned the state government as a committed partner in the national mission of Vikasith Bharath (Developed India).
Addressing the Maoist Challenge and Future Hopes
CM Sai provided a stark assessment of the past, stating that Chhattisgarh lagged behind for several decades primarily due to the menace of Maoism. He highlighted a significant shift, asserting that Maoists are now being effectively eliminated because of the stringent measures implemented by the central government.
"Due to the stringent steps taken by the Union government, the Maoists are being eliminated," Sai stated. He expressed strong optimism about the near future, hoping that the remaining Maoists, who are now in small numbers, will be completely eradicated very soon.
Announcement of Atal Parks as a Tribute
In a significant announcement to honor the legacy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Chief Minister Sai revealed that Atal Parks will be launched in every district of Chhattisgarh on December 25. This initiative is set to create public spaces dedicated to the memory of the former Prime Minister across the state.
