They directly accused the ruling Congress government of failing the state's farmers by not ensuring an adequate and timely supply of urea. To formally push for a debate, BRS members submitted an adjournment motion on the issue. However, when BRS MLA Harish Rao sought to raise a point of order regarding the matter, Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar rejected the request. The speaker clarified that there was no provision to raise a point of order during the question hour. Despite this ruling, the opposition members continued their slogan-shouting, leading to chaotic scenes in the assembly hall.

Responding to the protest, Legislative Affairs Minister Sridhar Babu criticized the BRS for its conduct. He suggested that the opposition party appeared uninterested in the question hour, a key segment for holding the government accountable. Minister Babu asserted that any genuine issues should be raised and discussed in the assembly through proper parliamentary channels instead of wasting the House's time with protests.
The minister's remarks did little to pacify the agitated BRS MLAs, who remained steadfast in their demand for an immediate debate.
