He polled 1,15,054 votes, defeating the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) candidate Nilabati Saha by a margin of 10,306 votes.

Sitting MLA and Previous Results

Nilabati Saha of the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) is the sitting MLA from Sainthia. She won the seat in the 2021 Assembly election by securing 49.84% of the total votes polled. She was followed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Piya Saha, who received 42.97% of the votes.

In the recently held assembly polls, Nilabati Saha contested for the Trinamool Congress. On the other hand, the BJP fielded Krishna Kanta Saha.
