BJP's New UP Chief Pankaj Chaudhary's Grand Varanasi Welcome: 10 Points, 2-Day Agenda
BJP's Grand Welcome for UP Chief Pankaj Chaudhary in Varanasi

Bharatiya Janata Party's newly appointed Uttar Pradesh state president, Pankaj Chaudhary, is set to receive a rousing welcome in the holy city of Varanasi during his first visit since assuming the crucial role. The party's local units have meticulously planned a grand reception for his two-day tour, which begins on Wednesday evening.

A Grand Welcome Planned Across the City

To mark the significance of the visit, the BJP's Kashi region, district, and city units have orchestrated an elaborate welcome plan. Chaudhary will be greeted at a total of 10 different points along his route from the Ghazipur border to his final destination at the Circuit House. This show of strength and enthusiasm underscores the party's mobilization efforts in the key political landscape of Varanasi.

The preparations were finalized after a series of coordination meetings. Dilip Patel, the president of the BJP's Kashi region, recently convened a meeting of party office-bearers at the unit's office in Rohaniya to review the arrangements. According to the party's regional spokesman, Navratan Rathi, the district unit will manage welcome arrangements at 4 points, while the city unit will handle 6 points.

Detailed Itinerary of the Two-Day Visit

Pankaj Chaudhary is scheduled to enter Varanasi via road from Gorakhpur through Ghazipur around 5 pm on Wednesday. The celebratory reception will commence immediately at Kaithi, featuring traditional drums, conch shells, and a shower of rose petals. Another major welcome event is planned at Ashapur by the BJP city unit, where chants of "Har-Har Mahadev" will fill the air amidst another floral tribute.

After staying the night at the Circuit House, Chaudhary's agenda for Thursday is packed with spiritual and organizational activities. He will begin the day by offering prayers at two prominent temples: the Kashi Vishwanath (KV) Temple and the Kaal Bhairav Temple. Following this, he will visit the MP public relations office located in Jawaharnagar Colony, Bhelupur.

Key Organizational Meetings on the Agenda

The core of the visit involves strengthening the party's grassroots structure. At 11 am on Thursday, Chaudhary will hold a significant meeting at the regional unit office in Rohania. This gathering will include district and city unit office-bearers, presidents of all seven frontal organisations, and all mandal presidents under the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency.

Later, after 12 noon, his focus will shift to a broader regional review. He will meet with the office-bearers of all 16 organisational districts that fall under the Kashi region. This meeting is scheduled to take place at the Gokul Dham Resort in Jagatpur. Chaudhary will conclude his visit and depart for Delhi by flight on Thursday afternoon.

This comprehensive visit highlights the BJP's strategic focus on Varanasi, a constituency represented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The grand welcome and series of meetings are aimed at consolidating the party's base and streamlining its organizational machinery in the politically vital region of Purvanchal ahead of future electoral challenges.
