The horrific crash occurred inside the Kanger Valley National Park area when a speeding truck, whose brakes allegedly failed, violently rammed into a pickup vehicle from behind on the busy National Highway 30.

The incident took place near the Darba region. According to police reports, the pickup was carrying seven local villagers who were headed towards the weekly market at Pakhnar. Their journey was abruptly and tragically cut short by the out-of-control truck.
