Lokayukta Inspects Garbage Sites, Forms Five Teams

Bengaluru: In the backdrop of innumerable complaints regarding unscientific garbage dumping across five city corporations, Lokayukta BS Patil on Friday visited several locations and directed Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) officials and other concerned authorities to address the issue at the earliest.

Five Teams Formed to Study Garbage Issue

According to a press note issued by the Lokayukta, five teams have been constituted to examine the garbage problem in the five corporations. During the visit, six black spots were identified in and around RT Nagar, Byatarayanapura, and Anandanagar.

Residents Complain of Drain Overflow

Residents from Vishveshwarayanagar complained that during rains, the storm water drain overflows, flooding their houses with drain water. The Lokayukta directed officials to resolve the issue quickly and submit a report on the matter.
