A tragic incident occurred near Kulithalai in Karur district on Thursday evening, where a four-year-old boy died of asphyxiation after getting trapped inside a parked car. The child has been identified as Sanjeevi, the son of construction workers Velu and Mareeswari, residents of Kalugoor village.

Details of the Incident

According to police reports, Sanjeevi was playing with his friends near his house when he entered a parked car that was covered with a vehicle sheet. It is suspected that the boy accidentally locked himself inside the vehicle. Since the car was fully covered, neither family members nor neighbours noticed that the child was trapped inside.

After Sanjeevi went missing for several hours, his family members began searching the area. Eventually, they checked the parked car and found him unconscious. He was immediately rushed to the Kulithalai Government Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
