The Trichy district administration has issued a strict ban on the use of drones and all unmanned aerial vehicles across the city and district for a two-day period. This security measure is in anticipation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's scheduled visit to Tamil Nadu and Karaikal on February 13 and 14.

In an official release on Thursday, Saravanan emphasized that violators will face severe legal consequences. Sources indicate that Amit Shah will arrive at Trichy airport via a special aircraft on February 13 and will spend the night in the city. The following day, on February 14, he will travel by helicopter to Karaikal and then proceed by road to address a public gathering. After concluding his engagements in Karaikal, Shah will return to Trichy by air and depart from the airport.
