The Punjab government carried out a significant administrative reshuffle on Tuesday night, transferring seven IAS officers, including the Local Government Secretary and Director.
Key Transfers in Punjab Administration
Manjit Brar, who served as the Local Government Secretary, has been reassigned as the Secretary of Medical Education and Research. Similarly, Kulwant Singh, the Local Government Director, has been moved to the position of Director of Higher Education.
Their positions have been filled by Ghanshyam Thori and Harshuinder Singh Brar, respectively.
Other Notable Changes
Sakshi Sawhney, who was recently appointed as the Director of Town and Country Planning, has now been given additional charge as the Director of the National Health Mission.
