Additional Director General MV Pathak officially took over as the Coast Guard Commander for the Western Seaboard. ADG MV Pathak is no stranger to the Indian Coast Guard. He first joined the service in July 1989, embarking on a career that has spanned more than three decades. Over these years, he has built an impressive record of service and expertise.
Extensive Command Experience
One of his notable achievements is the distinction of having commanded all classes of Coast Guard ships. This hands-on experience across various vessel types provides him with a deep, operational understanding of maritime patrols, search and rescue missions, and coastal defense operations.
Prior to this new appointment, ADG Pathak served as the Deputy Director General for the Coast Guard Service Board in New Delhi. In that role, he was involved in strategic planning and policy formulation at the national level.
