BJP's Strong Condemnation
State BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra and other senior leaders held a press conference in Bengaluru, expressing outrage over Kharge's statement made during a public rally. They asserted that such language undermines the dignity of the Prime Minister's office and sets a dangerous precedent in political discourse.
Vijayendra said, 'Calling the Prime Minister a terrorist is not just an insult to Modi ji but to every citizen of India. We demand an unconditional public apology from Kharge ji.' He further accused the Congress party of resorting to abusive language due to its frustration over electoral defeats.
Congress Defends Kharge
