Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday announced the state government has begun preparing a 20-year roadmap for 'Viksit Haryana-2047' to align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Viksit Bharat-2047'. Speaking after a meeting with all MLAs in Chandigarh, Saini said the initiative, titled 'Meri Viksit Vidhansabha', aims to prepare constituency-wise development plans.
MLAs to Serve as Vision Champions
Under the campaign, MLAs will serve as 'Vision Champions' and visit their constituencies during July and August to gather suggestions from villagers, urban residents, farmers, youth, women, industries, self-help groups, and other stakeholders. These inputs will form the basis of a people-centric development blueprint. Saini emphasized that Haryana has set ambitious goals for 2047.
Aligning with National Vision
The initiative is part of the broader 'Viksit Bharat-2047' vision articulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which seeks to transform India into a developed nation by its centenary of independence. The Haryana government's roadmap will focus on sustainable growth, infrastructure, and inclusive development.
Constituency-Level Planning
The 'Meri Viksit Vidhansabha' campaign is designed to ensure that development plans reflect local needs. Each MLA will engage directly with residents to collect suggestions, which will then be consolidated into a comprehensive plan for their constituency. This approach aims to make the development process participatory and responsive.
