Congress Slams AAP for Painting Punjab Schools in Party Colors

In a sharp rebuke to the Punjab government, Congress leader Pargat Singh on Saturday condemned the repainting of government schools in the colors of the Aam Aadmi Party flag, labeling it a cynical ploy under a disastrously failed education policy. He asserted that this move is nothing short of an attempt to brainwash Punjab's people and divide innocent schoolchildren along partisan lines.

Outrage Over Discrimination and Waste of Public Funds

Pargat Singh, in a statement issued from Jalandhar, demanded that the Punjab government cease this outrageous discrimination based on party hues. He urged Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to break free from Delhi's suffocating shadow and demonstrate basic humanity in this matter. The Congress leader highlighted the case of the Govt Girls Senior Secondary School on Ladowali Road in Jalandhar East block, where walls were recently renovated with diverse, creative paintings.

However, following fresh orders from AAP leaders, these walls were brutally repainted at enormous expense, wasting precious public money, in the party's garish flag shades, erasing all traces of neutrality. This action has sparked widespread criticism for prioritizing political symbolism over educational integrity.

Challenging the Education Minister and Alleging Delhi's Interference

The Jalandhar Cantt legislator challenged Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains to name the so-called expert who dictated these ridiculous colors. Everyone knows these 'experts' are Delhi imports, micromanaging Punjab's government on everything from paint choices to policy disasters, Pargat Singh alleged. He further claimed that the AAP has unleashed a horde of 100 Delhi puppeteers on Punjab, turning the state into a remote-controlled farce.

Broader Allegations of AAP's Education Scams

Expanding his attack on the ruling party, the senior Congress leader referenced a 2020 incident where AAP leader Manish Sisodia flaunted a model school in Delhi. By 2024, however, 5,000 students had to be hastily shifted elsewhere after the building was declared dangerously unsafe. This is the true face of AAP's education scam, Pargat Singh stated, adding that the same story is unfolding in Delhi, where their hyped model schools are being demolished one by one.

The controversy underscores growing concerns about political interference in education and the misuse of public resources for partisan gains in Punjab.
