"CMRL had obtained necessary permissions to shift underground utilities, including the high-tension cable connecting the Sidco Nagar substation with the Padi substation," the official stated.
"To facilitate this work without completely cutting power, we had managed the electricity supply through an alternative cable linked to the ICF substation. However, during the shifting operation of the second HT cable, contractors accidentally punctured this critical cable, resulting in the complete shutdown," the TNPDCL representative explained.
