- Railway and Highway Projects: Patra called for faster execution of ongoing railway and national highway projects across the seven districts, noting that delays are hindering development and connectivity.
- Air Connectivity Enhancements: He urged the immediate commissioning of the Rangeilunda airport near Berhampur and consistent operations at the Jeypore and Malkangiri airports, which currently suffer from erratic schedules and frequent cancellations.
- Eco-Tourism Potential: Patra also proposed exploring the development of smaller airstrips in other districts to boost eco-tourism, arguing that improved air access could attract more visitors and stimulate local economies.
