Tragic Discovery in Patna Flat
A 26-year-old woman from Bhagalpur, who had been residing with a friend in Patna while diligently preparing for competitive government examinations, was discovered deceased in their rented accommodation on Saturday. The somber incident unfolded at Veer Kunwar Singh Path, situated within the jurisdiction of the Sri Krishna Puri police station area.
A Relationship and Shared Aspirations
According to police authorities, the young woman had been in a romantic relationship with Piyush Kumar for over a year. The couple shared plans for marriage, with their families scheduled to convene in the near future to formalize arrangements. Piyush, employed in the private sector, recounted that the evening preceding the tragedy appeared entirely ordinary.
"We shared dinner together, and I retired to my room around 11 p.m.," Piyush stated. "She was listening to music at a high volume. I requested she lower it, but received no response. When I approached her room, the door was locked. By morning, I was compelled to force entry, only to find her suspended from the ceiling fan."
Background and Living Situation
The pair initially met in Patna while both were enrolled at a coaching institute. Discovering their common origins in Bhagalpur fostered a close bond. Subsequently, Piyush secured private employment and discontinued his academic pursuits. The flat where the incident occurred was originally leased by Piyush. Initially, the woman resided separately before eventually moving in with him to share the accommodation.
Ongoing Police Investigation
Law enforcement officials have transferred the body for a comprehensive post-mortem examination. "We are meticulously investigating the circumstances and will proceed based on the findings of the post-mortem report and the formal statement from the woman's family," affirmed Secretariat SDPO-2 Saket Kumar. Authorities emphasize that decisive action awaits these crucial inputs, underscoring a thorough and methodical approach to the case.
