In a disturbing incident in Vadodara's old city area, a man was arrested by police on Thursday for allegedly knocking down three persons while driving recklessly. The accused, identified as Dhruv Patel, a 29-year-old resident of Ajwa-Nimeta Road, was driving along the busy Mandvi Road late on Wednesday night when the incident occurred.

According to police reports, Patel first struck a woman who was walking along the roadside. When passers-by attempted to intervene and stop his vehicle, he allegedly accelerated in a panic, hitting two more individuals in his attempt to flee the scene. The driver then escaped via Panigate Road, leaving the injured victims behind.
