In a swift display of community vigilance, residents of a village in Nashik district apprehended two men who allegedly molested a 14-year-old girl. The incident, which occurred on Monday evening, led to the immediate arrest of the accused, who were reportedly seeking alms while posing as sadhus.

The alleged crime took place in a village under the Nandgaon taluka of Nashik. According to Inspector Digambar Bhadane, the two accused were walking past the village when they grabbed the hand of the 14-year-old girl as she was walking home. A friend of the victim, who was passing by, noticed the act and immediately raised an alarm. This prompt action allowed the girl to quickly escape from the men's clutches.
The commotion drew the attention of nearby villagers. Enraged by the act, the local community surrounded and caught the two men, holding them until police could arrive. The police were alerted and promptly took the duo into custody.
