The accident occurred on the Nanpara–Lakhimpur road, specifically near Semrahna village under the jurisdiction of the Motipur police station. According to preliminary reports, the car was traveling at a significant speed when the driver lost control, leading to the catastrophic crash.

The deceased have been identified as Abhishek Shukla, a 25-year-old branch manager with Shriram Finance; Deepu Verma, an 18-year-old resident of Civil Lines; and Nitish Singh, a 19-year-old from Alinagar. All three succumbed to their injuries on the spot, highlighting the brutality of the accident.

Two other occupants of the car, Ajay Sharma and Lovkush Sharma, sustained serious injuries in the crash. They were immediately rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. Their current condition remains critical, and they are under close medical supervision.

Police investigations reveal that Abhishek Shukla had departed late on Sunday night along with his four friends for the religious trip to Kainchi Dham. The group was traveling in Shukla's personal car when the accident occurred.
