A tragic evening on the roads of Sikar district in Rajasthan resulted in the loss of three lives and left more than five individuals injured. The incidents occurred within the jurisdiction of the Fatehpur Sadar police station, casting a shadow over the region's road safety record.

First Accident: Truck and Thar Jeep Collision Near Hardayalpura Village

The first and more severe accident took place on the Fatehpur-Bikaner highway, close to Hardayalpura village. According to ASI Ramdev Singh of the Fatehpur Sadar police station, a speeding Thar jeep attempted to overtake a truck, leading to a violent collision. The impact was so intense that the Thar vehicle suffered extensive damage and was thrown off the road.

  • Abrar, aged 23 and a resident of Garinda, died on the spot.
  • Ejaz Ali, aged 29 from Balod Bhakhra, also succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Two individuals sustained serious injuries in this crash. Asif, another resident of Garinda who was traveling in the Thar, and the truck driver, Suresh, were both treated initially and then referred to Sikar for further medical care. The police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this fatal collision.

Second Accident: Public Transport Bus and Jeep Collision Near Garinda

In a separate but equally distressing event later that evening, a public transport bus collided with a jeep near Garinda. Fatehpur police station officer Mahendra Kumar reported that the jeep driver, Mahendra, a local resident of Fatehpur, lost his life in this accident.

The aftermath of the second collision included:

  1. Three people were injured and required immediate hospitalization for treatment.
  2. The exact conditions of the injured remain under medical supervision.

Police Response and Ongoing Investigations

Authorities have been actively managing the fallout from these tragic events. The bodies of the deceased from the first accident, Abrar and Ejaz Ali, have been placed in the hospital mortuary as procedures continue.
