Tej Pratap Yadav, the chief of the Jan Jan Jagran Dal (JJD) and former Bihar minister, has filed a theft complaint against his personal assistant at a police station in Patna. The complaint, lodged on 23 June 2026, alleges that the assistant stole cash, gold jewellery, and electronic gadgets from Yadav's residence.

Details of the Stolen Items

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the stolen items include a gold chain weighing over 23 grams, a gold ring, and an unspecified amount of cash. Additionally, mobile phones and other electronic devices were reported missing. Yadav claimed that the theft occurred over a period of time, and he noticed the items missing only recently.

Police Investigation Underway

Patna police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and have begun questioning the accused personal assistant. A senior police official stated that they are examining CCTV footage from the area and gathering evidence to ascertain the exact sequence of events. The assistant has not been arrested as of the latest reports.
