Tea Vendor Found Dead in Firozabad Shop; Police Launch Probe
In a shocking incident in the Tundla area of Firozabad, a 45-year-old tea vendor was allegedly bludgeoned to death by unidentified assailants while he was sleeping at his roadside shop on Monday morning, according to police reports.
Details of the Tragic Event
The victim, identified as Tejpal Singh, a resident of Ulao village under Tundla, had recently opened his tea shop on March 8 near the Jarauli Kala bypass. He often slept at the shop overnight. On Sunday evening around 9 pm, Tejpal returned to the shop after having dinner at his house and sent his son Kuldeep home. During the night, unknown persons reportedly attacked him, hitting him on the head with a heavy object, which resulted in his immediate death at the scene.
Discovery and Police Response
The gruesome discovery was made around 6 am on Monday when Kuldeep arrived at the shop and found his father lying in a pool of blood. He promptly alerted the police. Tundla police station SHO Kumar Singh, along with a team, rushed to the spot. Senior officials, including Circle Officer Arun Kumar Chaurasia and SP (City) Ravi Shankar Prasad, also visited the crime scene to conduct an inspection.
Investigation Underway
SP Ravi Shankar Prasad stated that the motive behind the murder has not yet been determined. Police are exploring all possible angles, including issues related to the newly opened shop. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being thoroughly scanned, and three specialized teams have been formed to crack the case. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to gather further evidence.
An FIR has been registered under BNS Section 103(1), which pertains to murder, at the Tundla police station. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they intensify their efforts to apprehend the culprits.
