A young Railway Protection Force (RPF) officer lost his life in a tragic incident early Tuesday morning after falling from a moving train in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli district.

Tragic Incident Near Alinagar

Sub-Inspector Vishal Tiwari, aged 26, fell from the Mumbai Mail train near the yard post under the jurisdiction of the Alinagar police station. The incident occurred in the morning hours, leading to his immediate death. Authorities recovered his mutilated body from the railway tracks close to the down yard old car shed, specifically at kilometre pole number 673/8.

Investigation and Background Details

Chandauli's Circle Officer (PDDU Nagar), Arun Kumar Singh, confirmed the recovery of the body and stated it was sent for a post-mortem examination. A joint investigation involving the local police, RPF, and Government Railway Police (GRP) is actively working to determine the exact circumstances that caused the SI to fall from the train.

Initial findings reveal that Vishal Tiwari hailed from the Jakhaniya area in Mau district. He had completed his training just six months prior and was posted in Rafiganj, Bihar. At the time of the accident, he was travelling on the Mumbai Mail to reach Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay (PDDU) Junction.

Ongoing Probe and Aftermath

The authorities have emphasized that the investigation is ongoing. The primary focus is to piece together the events that led to the fatal fall. This unfortunate event has cast a shadow over the railway community, highlighting the risks faced by personnel even during routine travel. The RPF is expected to conduct its own internal inquiry alongside the criminal investigation to ensure all aspects are covered.
