Ranchi Police Nab Five Suspects in Subversive Activities Case
In a significant development, the Ranchi police have apprehended five individuals who were allegedly planning subversive activities in the city. The arrests were made on Saturday from a house situated near Baba Hospital on the busy Ratu Road, according to an official statement released by the city police.
Details of the Arrested Individuals
The arrested suspects have been identified as Himanshu Yadav alias Lalu Yadav, Aniket Pathak, Nihal Pandey, Niraj Kumar, and Rahul Badaik. Police investigations reveal that all the accused are residents of various localities within Ranchi, indicating a local network involved in the alleged activities.
Seizure of Incriminating Evidence
During the operation, law enforcement officials seized substantial evidence from the suspects. From Himanshu Yadav, a country-made pistol was recovered, which notably had the inscription "Made in USA" on it and was loaded with three cartridges. Additionally, a total of 35 packets of brown sugar were confiscated from the other accused individuals, pointing towards possible links to narcotics trafficking alongside the planned subversive actions.
