Ranchi Missing Children: DGP Assures Action as Protests Erupt
Ranchi: DGP Monitors Search for Two Missing Children

The city of Ranchi is gripped by concern as the police continue their search for two young children, aged four and five, who went missing from the Dhurwa area on Friday. The case has prompted high-level police intervention and public demonstrations demanding swift action.

High-Level Meeting with Police Chief

A delegation, which included RJD state spokesperson Kailash Yadav and the father of the missing children, Sunil Yadav, met with the Director General of Police (DGP) Tadasha Mishra to press for urgent measures. The delegation demanded concrete steps to ensure the safe and immediate return of the children.

Following the meeting, Kailash Yadav informed that DGP Tadasha Mishra is personally overseeing the investigation. She assured the family that the police force is working tirelessly, around the clock, to locate and recover the missing minors.

Public Outcry and Police Response

The anxiety in the community manifested in a significant protest earlier. Local residents organized a massive dharna at Sheikh Bhikhari Chowk in Dhurwa, voicing their demands for intensified search efforts.

In response, Ranchi SSP Rakesh Ranjan met the protesters and outlined the police's strategy. He announced the formation of a dedicated Special Investigation Team (SIT) to spearhead the operation. This team comprises senior officers including SPs, Deputy SPs, and the in-charges of relevant police stations.

SSP Ranjan expressed optimism, stating that the police are hopeful of achieving a positive outcome in the case soon. The formation of the SIT underscores the seriousness with which the authorities are treating this disappearance.

Ongoing Search Efforts

As of now, the two children remain missing, and the Ranchi police's search operation is in full swing. The direct involvement of the state's top police officer and the creation of a specialized team indicate that all available resources are being deployed. The community's eyes are firmly on the investigators, awaiting a breakthrough that will bring the young ones home safely.
