Pune police have disclosed that Siya, the prime accused in the murder of her fiancé Ketan on Sinhagad Fort, was instigated by her alleged lover Chetan to commit the crime. The revelation came during interrogation, where Siya confessed that Chetan had repeatedly urged her to eliminate Ketan, promising a future together.

The incident occurred on June 25, 2026, when Siya and Ketan visited the historic Sinhagad Fort near Pune. During the trip, Siya allegedly pushed Ketan off a cliff, leading to his death. Further investigation led to the arrest of Chetan, who was found to have been in constant communication with Siya in the days leading up to the murder.
Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta stated, "Siya has admitted that Chetan instigated her to kill Ketan. He told her that Ketan was an obstacle to their relationship and that she should get rid of him." The police have recovered chat messages and call records that corroborate Siya's claims.
