In an unconventional move to pressure absconding suspects, the Vaishali police in Bihar served legal notices to three accused in a murder case with a band playing a popular Bollywood song. The dramatic action took place at Narayanpur Dumduma village on Wednesday, drawing a large crowd of local villagers.

The police team, led by Station House Officer (SHO) Raj Kumar, arrived at the village with a band that played the Bollywood tune ‘Aaye Hain Baraati’. The notices were officially pasted on the homes of the three absconding individuals. These legal documents warned the accused to surrender before the law or face strict consequences, including the attachment of their properties.
Details of the Accused and the Case
The action targeted Akanshu Kumar, Rahul Kumar, and Golu Kumar alias Jigyashu Kumar. These three are among a total of nine individuals named in the murder of Himanshu, a trader of jewellery and utensils. The tragic incident occurred on November 20, and a First Information Report (FIR) was promptly registered against all nine accused.
The police are proceeding under case number 831/25. Alongside pasting the notices, the authorities also made public announcements in the area. These announcements reiterated the warning, stating that strict legal action would be taken if the accused failed to surrender soon.
