Kanadia Police Apprehends Notorious Gang Member in Gurgaon After Extensive Manhunt
In a significant breakthrough, the Kanadia police successfully arrested a key member of the infamous Satpal Fauji gang from Gurgaon in Haryana on Monday. The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Parmender Singh, had been evading law enforcement for over a year, making this capture a crucial victory for the authorities.
Suspect Wanted in Multiple Major Thefts Across Indore
Parmender Singh was actively sought in connection with four major theft cases that occurred in Indore. To avoid detection and arrest, he employed a highly mobile lifestyle, constantly moving between Delhi, Rajasthan, and Haryana. In a deliberate attempt to evade digital surveillance, Singh had completely stopped using a mobile phone for the past eight months, showcasing his calculated efforts to stay off the grid.
Covert Operation Leads to Successful Arrest
Acting on a reliable tip-off indicating that Singh was hiding in Kasan village near Manesar, Kanadia police station in-charge Saharsh Yadav mobilized a specialized team to Haryana. The operation involved a meticulous three-day surveillance period, during which the team maintained a covert vigil. Advanced drone cameras were deployed to monitor the suspect's movements around his residence, ensuring precise tracking without alerting him.
Once Singh's presence was definitively confirmed, the police launched a swift and coordinated raid, leading to his arrest. This operation highlights the effective use of modern technology in law enforcement efforts to combat organized crime.
Recovery of Stolen Goods and Ongoing Investigation
During the arrest, police seized substantial evidence, including stolen gold and silver jewellery, as well as a car that was used in the commission of the crimes. The total estimated value of the recovered items is approximately Rs 25 lakh, underscoring the financial impact of the thefts.
Police officer Saharsh Yadav stated, "Singh, who faces dozens of charges across various states, is currently being interrogated regarding other unsolved cases." This suggests that his arrest may lead to further breakthroughs in multiple criminal investigations, potentially solving additional cases linked to the Satpal Fauji gang's activities.
