A tragic incident in Mumbai's Dahisar East area on Tuesday claimed the life of a 58-year-old pedestrian. The man, identified as Bhimrao More, was fatally injured when a part of a private bus struck him on the head.

Details of the Fatal Incident

According to information provided by his family, the accident occurred while More was walking along the road. An acquaintance informed the family around 6 pm about the mishap. The driver of a private bus reportedly opened the door of the luggage storage compartment located on the left side of the vehicle. This door hit More directly on the head with significant force, causing him to collapse immediately on the spot.

Response and Aftermath

Passersby who witnessed the shocking event rushed to the victim's aid. With the assistance of the bus driver himself, they transported the seriously injured More to Samarpan Hospital in Dahisar. Despite these efforts, he was declared dead at the hospital. The victim resided in Ashokvan, Dahisar, with his sons and their families.

Police Action and Complaint

Following the incident, the grieving family of Bhimrao More lodged a formal complaint with the police. Acting on this, the Dahisar police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the bus driver. The case has been filed under charges of negligence, marking the start of a legal investigation into the circumstances that led to this avoidable death on a Mumbai road.
