A devastating railway accident near Barh station in Patna has resulted in one death and left a man with life-altering injuries, casting a shadow over a family with four young children. In a separate incident, police in Bihta are investigating the murder of an unidentified man.

Tragic Mishap on Railway Tracks

The fatal accident occurred near Barh railway station, which falls under the Danapur railway division. Parvati Devi lost her life after being struck by a high-speed shuttle train while attempting to cross the tracks. She was accompanied by her husband, Dharmendra Kumar, a brick kiln worker.

In a desperate attempt to save his wife, Dharmendra also sustained grievous injuries. He suffered the traumatic amputation of one hand and a serious head injury. The couple, residents of Budhanichak, were reportedly on their way to a hospital for Dharmendra's medical treatment when the tragedy unfolded.

Family's Sole Earner Hospitalized

The aftermath of the accident leaves a family in peril. Dharmendra Kumar, identified as the sole breadwinner for the couple's four young children, was initially given first aid at the Barh sub-divisional hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently referred to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for advanced treatment. His condition and the future care of his children have become a major concern.

Unidentified Man Found Murdered in Bihta

In an unrelated case of crime, the body of an unidentified man was discovered on Wednesday near Sikaria village. The location falls under the jurisdiction of the IIT Amhara police station in Bihta, Patna. Villagers spotted the body on the roadside and immediately alerted the police.

Investigators found that the victim had been bludgeoned to death with stones. A significant clue recovered from the spot was a black motorcycle. The body has been sent to the Danapur sub-divisional hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was also summoned to the scene to collect scientific evidence. Danapur DSP II, Amarendra Kumar Jha, confirmed the incident as a murder. He stated that the police are exploring all possible angles in the investigation and are attempting to identify the deceased victim through the seized motorcycle.
