The assailants not only hurled abuses at residents but also vandalized four vehicles, including two cars and two motorcycles, in a brazen display of violence that forced local shopkeepers to pull down their shutters and residents to rush indoors for safety.

Late-Night Chaos and Intimidation Tactics

According to police reports, the accused arrived in vehicles around 11:30 PM and immediately began their rampage. Armed with sticks and axe-like sharp weapons, they targeted bikes and two-wheelers parked along the roadside, smashing them indiscriminately. The sudden outbreak of violence caused immediate chaos, with some locals claiming that the attackers even fired rounds in the air to further intimidate people and amplify the atmosphere of fear.

The Panchavati police have registered a formal case of rioting against the gang. Senior police inspector Gajendra Patil of the Panchavati Police Station provided crucial details about the investigation.
