Three Killed in Nanded Gang Clash, One Victim Attacked Again in Hospital
In a shocking incident of gang violence, three persons were killed after members of two rival gangs clashed in Maharashtra's Nanded city during the early hours of Saturday. Police officials confirmed the tragic event, which has sent shockwaves through the local community.
Violent Confrontation Near City Mall
The deadly confrontation occurred around 1:30 am near a mall in Nanded, according to police statements. Superintendent of Police Abinash Kumar provided details to reporters, explaining that members of the Sada gang and Sai Lala gang attacked each other with daggers and sharp weapons during the violent encounter.
Two victims were killed on the spot during the initial clash, while the third victim suffered grievous injuries and was rushed to a government hospital for emergency treatment. In a particularly disturbing development, this third victim was allegedly attacked again inside the medical facility and killed, according to police accounts.
Victims Identified and Sequence of Events
The deceased have been identified as Arjit Singh, Sayyed Avez, and Mohammad Arbaz. Police investigation reveals that the rival gangs had been engaged in a long-standing dispute that culminated in this tragic violence.
According to official statements, on Friday night, Singh and his friends were returning after watching a movie when members of a rival gang, who had allegedly been tracking their movements, intercepted them. This confrontation led to the immediate deaths of Singh and Arbaz at the scene.
The third victim, Avez, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries but was allegedly fatally stabbed by Singh's brother in the casualty ward of the medical facility, Superintendent Kumar told reporters.
Police Response and Investigation
Law enforcement authorities have detained five people in connection with the incident as part of their ongoing investigation. Multiple police teams, including specialists from the local crime branch, forensic experts, and a dog squad, arrived at the scene to gather evidence and reconstruct the sequence of events.
The process of registering a cross FIR (First Information Report) is currently underway, according to police statements. This legal procedure typically involves filing complaints from both sides in cases where mutual allegations are made.
