A horrific incident of violence in Nagpur resulted in the tragic death of a young man following a petty dispute that spiraled out of control. The Kalmana police have taken five individuals into custody for their alleged involvement in the murder that occurred on Saturday night.
Argument Over Money Leads to Fatal Attack
The chain of events began when the victim, Ritik Patle (22), a resident of Parvati Nagar in Kalmana, went out for drinks with two companions. He was accompanied by complainant Tansu Nagpure (23) and Mustafa alias Golu Isha Ansari (28) in the Juni Mangalwari area.
On their way back, a verbal spat erupted between Ritik and Mustafa. The disagreement reportedly centered around financial matters. This seemingly minor argument, however, set the stage for a brutal retaliation.
Family Conspiracy and Brutal Assault
After the initial altercation, Mustafa informed his family members about the quarrel. The family members allegedly then conspired to attack Ritik Patle. Later, a group comprising five adults and one juvenile launched a vicious assault.
The accused have been identified as Isha Ansari (55), Mustafa (28), Lukman (22), Sahil (20), and Salauddin (19). They, along with the minor, attacked Ritik, Tansu, and others with a deadly arsenal of weapons including batons, knives, and rods.
In a desperate attempt to save their son, Ritik's parents intervened but were also mercilessly beaten by the assailants, highlighting the extreme brutality of the attack.
Death and Police Action
Critically injured in the assault, Ritik Patle was rushed to Mayo Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead. The other injured victims are currently undergoing treatment for their wounds.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, the Kalmana police registered a formal case under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The police have successfully arrested all five adult accused involved in the murder. The investigation is ongoing, and further legal proceedings are expected.
This shocking incident in Nagpur underscores how a trivial argument can escalate into a deadly crime, devastating multiple families and leaving a community in mourning.
