Police reports indicate that Arijit Chavan, aged 25, and Mohammad Arbaaz Mohammad Farooq, aged 23, were killed on the spot during the initial clash. Avez, aged 27, was injured and transported to GMCH for treatment, where he was later stabbed to death in the hospital premises.

One policeman tried to prevent the accused from stabbing. We have ordered an inquiry by an SDPO-rank officer. Based on the findings, appropriate action will be taken against those found failing to perform their duty."
