The latest incident occurred during the intervening night between January 25 and January 26. A resident of Borivali East had securely parked his motorcycle near his residence before retiring for the night. However, upon waking in the morning, he was shocked to discover that his vehicle, valued at approximately Rs 80,000, was missing. Promptly, he filed a formal complaint with the local police station, initiating an intensive investigation.
Police Investigation and Breakthrough
Acting swiftly on the complaint, a dedicated police team embarked on a meticulous investigation. They meticulously reviewed footage from between 40 to 50 surveillance cameras installed across the area. This extensive video analysis provided crucial leads, enabling the investigators to identify the suspect as a resident of Malwani.
Leveraging their established network of informants, the police successfully traced and located the accused, identified as Mohammad Umer Shaikh, aged 19, from Malwani. During the arrest, authorities seized the stolen motorcycle, which was recovered intact.
