MSU Law Student Achieves Top Rank in Gujarat Judicial Services Examination
In a remarkable achievement for legal education in Gujarat, a student from the Faculty of Law at Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) in Vadodara has secured the prestigious first rank in the Gujarat Judicial Services (GJS) Examination 2024–25. The examination, conducted by the Gujarat High Court for the post of civil judge (junior division), saw Priyansh Rathod, an LLM semester-II student, emerge as the topper with an impressive score of 160 marks.
Multiple Successes from MSU's Faculty of Law
The success story extends beyond the top rank. Two other students associated with the faculty have also earned places on the merit list, demonstrating the institution's consistent excellence in preparing legal professionals. Shruti Pasi secured the 17th rank, while Dhanvi Joshi, another alumna of the faculty, achieved the 28th rank. Both have been selected as civil judges, adding to the faculty's proud legacy.
Historic Achievement for the Faculty
Prof Archana Gadekar, Dean of the Faculty of Law, highlighted the significance of this accomplishment. "This is the first time in five years that students from the faculty who cleared the judicial services examination were ranked among the top 30," she stated. This milestone underscores the faculty's growing reputation and effectiveness in competitive legal examinations.
